Immunogold-Labeled Drosophila Polythene Chromosome
Transmission electron micrograph of a fragment of the Drosophila polythene chromosome. The chromosome bears a transgenic construct with a Lac-operator repeat array that has been made visible by immunogold staining for Lac-repressor protein. The section is 80 nm thick.
