The Art of Simon Fischer
This image is a still from an animated visualization of a solar system-sized piece of artwork made by fictitious space artist, Simon Fischer. It is part of a 20 minute long show, The Art of Simon Fischer, at the Staerkel Planetarium at Parkland College. The show takes the audience on a tour through the universe to view Fischer's stellar object-sized installations/sculptures. The narration (Ben Grosser) and DVD authoring were completed in the Beckman Visualization, Media and Imaging Laboratory. The show was produced by ITG Maya Savant, Carl Burton, who won the award "Outstanding Graduating Senior in Art & Design" for his work.
The next showing of his piece will be Thursday, June 12, at 7pm.
