Somatic Embryogenesis from Grape Callus
This photograph of cultured grape callus captures the different stages of somatic embryo development. Globular, torpedo, heart, and cotyledon stage embryos are all visible in this sample.
We used the ITG's new Canon EOS-1Ds to capture this image, and minimally adjusted it in Photoshop to provide a slightly better contrast with the background.
