Maximum intensity projection through a series of images depicting the honey bee antennal lobe. The honey bee antennal lobe is the first olfactory neuropil, a structure analogous to the olfactory bulb in vertebrates. The data was collected on a Leica SP-2 laser scanning confocal microscope using 10x optical magnification.
