These images are of the sole output neurons of cerebellum - Purkinje cells - in a normal brain and after developmental exposure to alcohol. Neurons in the cerebellum are lost permanently. The samples used immunocytochemical staining using an anti-GFAP antibody, and counterstaining with pyronin. The images were acquired by Anna Klintsova using the Stereology workstation microscope in the Microscopy Suite and HyperSnap software.
