Virtual Model of the Beckman Institute

The image depicts one angle (as seen from the southwest) of a virtual model of the Beckman Institute. The model was built in the VMIL using Maya, a 3D modeling and animation package. This accurate model was built using the original building blueprints as a base. Texture maps for the bricks and other parts of the building are produced from photographs of the related real building items. The model was built as part of an animation produced in the VMIL for the opening of a new video about Beckman Institute research.
