3D graphical artwork based on human red blood cell structures. The image was created by ITG staff members Alex Jerez, Eric Shoemaker, Kyle Scoggin, and Steve Eisenmann in the VMIL. Maya software was used for modeling and the final image was later composited using After Effects and Photoshop. This work is one part of a larger body of medical-based artwork created collaboratively by the ITG special projects team and commissioned by the UIUC Medical Sciences Department. The entire ITG medical art exhibit can be seen on permanent display in the main floor lobby of the UIUC Medical Sciences Building, located at 506 South Mathews Avenue in Urbana, Illinois.
