Deep UV Raman Confocal Imaging Microscope

Deep UV microscope 2020

This deep UV Raman confocal microscope was designed and made here in 2017. It was built with an Olympus BX51WIF microscope stand and a Princeton Instruments IsoPlane SCT 320 spectrometer. The spectrometer uses a cooled (-75 °C), back-illuminated, UV enhanced, PIXIS CCD Camera. The deep UV excitation source is a 266 nm laser generated with a Spectra-Physics WaveTrain frequency doubler and a 532 nm Excelsior laser. The system achieves high sensitivity, high spatial and spectral resolution and is well suited for deep UV excited Raman or fluorescence spectral imaging microscopy.
